Yoga Nidra is a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. The term yoga nidra is derived from Sanskrit words, meaning one-pointed awareness and sleep. It is intended to still the body with a full-body awareness and a deep meditative state of consciousness. You will leave feeling completely relaxed and balanced in your body, mind and soul.

Join us each Saturday this summer in July and August for a special summer series ideal for those new to Yoga or seasoned practitioners. Each week one of our wonderful instructors will offer a different focus that will invigorate the body, mind, and spirit.

July 7th | Yoga Lab w/ Jennifer
This class will review alignment/anatomy of several poses as we move and breathe through several asanas. It is a great class for beginners or those who want to brush up on their foundation skills of several postures and poses. There will be time after class to ask about any posture or pose that may not be covered during the session.
July 14th | Wall-Yin Yoga w/ Yvonne
Yin Yoga is a practice of yielding. Yin Yoga against the wall adds additional security and stability within the pose and balance of mind. Enjoy several poses using the wall to stretch your legs and hips, allowing gravity to slowly draw you deeper.
July 21st | Meditation: Breath, Body & Sound
In this class we will practice breathing techniques to settle the body and quiet the mind; explore the body's sensations through movement and in stillness; and experience sound meditation to awaken our capacity for deep listening, enhancing our awareness of ourselves and our connection to our world.
July 28th | Chair Yoga for Everyone w/ Robin
Do you think your body is too big, too small, too inflexible, or too old for yoga? Do you get stiff from sitting at a computer all day or behind the wheel of a car or truck? By practicing Chair Yoga you can achieve the benefits of increased circulation, balance, flexibility, mobility and strength without getting on the floor. Chair Yoga is a gentle form of Yoga that is practiced sitting in a chair or standing using a chair for support for increased balance. The class will include stretches to build flexibility, strengthening poses to increase stability and muscle tone, balancing poses for more mobility, and opportunities to reconnect mind & body through breathwork and meditation.

Aug 11th | Cooling & Calming Vinyas w/ Debbie
This is a great practice for the mid-summer heat. As August takes shape, we feel the heat not only on the outside of our bodies but on the inside of our bodies; deep within ourselves. We will use breathing techniques and calming poses to cool down from any fire like frustrations or flooded senses. Asana’s will build awareness allowing new perspective and peace. You will leave your practice feeling a sense of calm and resolve.

Aug 25th | Tone Up With Yoga & Weights w/ Robin
This class is designed to tone and sculpt the major muscles in the body while moving through Yoga postures. We will use free weights (2-5 lbs.) to develop strength and flexibility in this fun and invigorating class.

East/West Massage — Blending Western style soft tissue techniques with Eastern energetic methods, this therapeutic massage promotes relaxation and flexibility for the body and mind. It takes place on a massage table and can be combined with heated stones and aromatherapy for enhanced healing effect.
$35/30 minutes; $60/60 minutes; $70/75 minutes; $80/90 minutes
Gentle Thai Massage — Adapted from the traditional medical massage of Thailand, this massage takes place on a firm mat on the floor. Through the use of palm and finger pressure and gentle, Yoga-like stretches, muscle groups become more balanced, joints gently open, and flexibility is optimized. The patterns of gentle rocking and rhythmic compression ease the recipient into a deeply relaxed state, like “a thousand gentle waves washing over the body.”
$65/60 minutes; $85/90 minutes
Zero Balancing — A deeply aligning form of bodywork that relieves tension held at the level of bone and encourages integration and stabilization. Through gentle finger press and movement, the body’s densest tissues (bones and joints) are aligned with the energy moving through them, releasing the receiver’s own energy back into them. After a session, a person often feels more rooted in their body and more open and expanded in their mind and spirit.
$30/30 minutes; $50/50 minutes; $100 for an initial 3-session, 50-minute package (recommended)
Root & Crown — A soothing and refreshing massage for the feet, head, neck and face. Aromatic essential oils, heated stones, and moist heated towels are incorporated to integrate the root, crown and the within…and it feels wonderful!
$35/30 minutes, $60/60 minutes
Stillness in Touch — This is a very gentle, meditative and deeply healing bodywork session that blends techniques from a variety of contemplative bodywork traditions. The practitioner places her hands on key areas of the body’s musculature, bones and energetic centers to promote the receiver’s own capacity for self healing, promotion, feelings of comfort, wholeness and peace.
$35/30 minutes, $40/45 minutes, $50/60 minutes
Meditation — Regular meditation practice helps us to be more at peace with ourselves and the world we inhabit. This session provides the opportunity to practice meditation with individualized instruction and support. It is appropriate for beginners or for those with meditation experience.
